Ashley L. Nascimento, PA

Ashley Nascimento is a board-certified PA. She earned her degree from the New York Institute of Technology in 2016 with a master's degree in physician assistant studies. Ashley began her career in urgent care where she quickly developed an interest in Gastroenterology.  Ashley manages both acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases with a particular interest in liver disease. In her free time, Ashley loves to spend time with her children, enjoy the outdoors and travel.

I strive to listen to my patient's concerns and provide compassionate and personalized care. 

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Mutual trust and honesty are fundamental in creating a patient/provider relationship. 

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book with an even better cup of coffee!

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose gastroenterology because it is one of the most diverse specialties with interdisciplinary care at its core. The greatest reward is forming a relationship with my patients and helping them manage their illnesses to the best of my ability.
