Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I put my patients first and care for them the way I would want my family cared for. I do everything in my power to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients can expect that I will be thorough in diagnosing and managing their care. I want my patients to feel that my office is a place where they will not feel rushed and will always be treated with kindness. I expect my patients to be equally committed to their healthcare.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my family and when not caring for patients, I can usually be found outdoors, enjoying golf, tennis, paddling or skiing.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I was drawn into GI by the diversity and complexity of disease and the fun of doing procedures. My greatest reward is seeing my patients’ improved quality of life.

Dr. O’Brien has a wonderful bedside manner. She is comforting and reassuring at all points of the procedure. She is a genuinely nice person who cares and listens and answers all your questions.
