About Stephen H. Strong
Professional Statement
Dr. Strong is a board-certified internist. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia and completed his internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in the primary care program. He chose to become a primary care doctor because he loves building long lasting relationships and guiding his patients with their health. Some unique areas of interest that Dr. Strong enjoys clinically include managing patients working to address obesity, addiction, men's health topics and complex diabetes care. He hopes to join one of the rowing clubs in the area.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I advocate for my patients and challenge them to optimize their health. I expect a trustworthy and sincere relationship with my patients.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy traveling, rowing, exercising and reading.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I love internal medicine because I get to work within a range of medical topics and patient types. It's very rewarding to help patients comprehensively and over time.
