Talia is a dedicated and compassionate midwife and lactation consultant, with experience in a variety of birth and healthcare settings. Since 2019, Talia has attended births and served families in large urban hospitals, small rural communities, free standing birth centers and at home. She believes in the individual's right to access the birth experience they desire, and strives to provide physically, emotionally and culturally safe healthcare.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
My goal is to make sure that my patients have all the information they need to feel empowered in making choices in their own health care.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients can expect to have their concerns heard and to gain understanding of how to care for themselves and their health. I ask that patients be open and honest with where they are so that I can provide them with the best care possible.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I spend a lot of time outdoors, hiking and climbing. I also love yoga, reading, and spending quality time with family.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I was previously a software engineer, but when I was in my 20s my mother had a hard birth with my youngest sister. I moved home to help as everyone recovered and realized that this was where I was meant to do my life's work. Since then, my goal has been supporting families through this pivotal time, and my greatest reward is continuing deep and meaningful patient relationships beyond that first pregnancy or birth.
