Vikram V. Duvvi, MD

As a psychiatrist who has been practicing for over 20 years, Dr. Duvvi has developed a patient-centric, personalized approach that helps patients achieve the full benefits of treatment. Being double-boarded in adult and geriatric psychiatry has allowed him to support aging patients and to be attentive to their underlying medical problems. A key component of his mission is developing the next generation of providers by teaching residents and medical students. When not caring for patients or teaching, Dr. Duvvi enjoys spending time with his family and playing tennis.

My patients should expect me to be warm and supportive and in return, patients should be open to discussing their struggles and concerns.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
My time is spent with family and we enjoy traveling and playing tennis together.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My choice was influenced by my interest in psychology and in learning about the human brain. The greatest reward is to see patients functionally improve and to have family members recognize this.
