When working with Dr. Rudolph, patients should expect a detailed, longitudinal review of their symptoms, goals, and prior treatments. Dr. Rudolph views the doctor-patient relationship as a team effort. Dr. Rudolph expects his patients to be invested in their health and participate in shared decision-making.
How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
When not working with patients, Dr. Rudolph primarily spends time with his family and beloved rescue Greyhound Carl. He enjoys hiking, sports, and sampling Connecticut’s bevy of delis, pizzerias and drive-in restaurants.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Dr. Rudolph chose to specialize in psychiatry because it offered a rewarding and intellectually stimulating career. He feels passionate about working with patients and illnesses that have historically been stigmatized and is a strong advocate for his patients. He enjoys collaborating with other medical providers to improve his patients’ behavioral health. Dr. Rudolph’s greatest joy is helping patients make concrete improvements that improve their relationships and level of functioning.
