Alexandra Schieber, DO

Dr. Alexandra Schieber is a family physician, board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Schieber provides primary care to children and adults of all ages. She has a passion for medical education, ensuring the next generation of physicians is insightful and compassionate, and sees patients as unique individuals in the context of their families and communities. She is interested in the full spectrum of health and medical care, from disease prevention and health promotion to management of complex conditions. What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect clear communication from me. From my patients, I expect nothing. Come as you are and I'll meet you there.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I have four children who keep me busy. As a family, we hike and go camping together. I have a weekly basketball game with friends. I read, dance and am involved in my community.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Family Medicine because I enjoy working with all patient populations. The greatest reward is seeing a positive outcome for a patient that comes as a result of a trusting patient-doctor relationship.
