Allison Jane Locke, FNP

Allison Locke is a nurse practitioner born and raised in Texas. She worked as a registered nurse for nine years, enjoying various roles including charge nurse and preceptor. In 2021, she graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. For the past two years, she has focused on nephrology as a family nurse practitioner before making the exciting decision to move to New York.

I am dedicated to my patients, prioritizing their health and well-being. I focus on the patient as a whole, ensuring they receive integrated and holistic care in collaboration with specialists while advocating for each patient. I ensure my patients make the most informed decisions for their health, fully engaging them as active members in the plan of care and taking a well-rounded, individualized approach with each patient interaction.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients can expect me to truly advocate for and listen to their needs. During a visit, I prioritize their concerns and provide education and resources tailored to their specific issues. I want my patients to feel comfortable and confident moving forward with me as their provider, ensuring the best possible outcomes.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, baking, and exploring new areas. During my time off, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose family practice because I enjoy seeing patients of all ages throughout their lifespan. I look forward to making lasting relationships with my patients and celebrating life and health goals with them.
