About Amanda McCabe

Professional Statement

Amanda McCabe, PA, has been a board-certified Physician Assistant with the National Commission of Certification for Physician Assistants since 2004. She is both BLS and ACLS certified and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates. Her years as a hospitalist and in primary care, have shaped her patient care experience to focus on communication and relationships to ensure all involved receive personalized attention and engage in a meaningful patient-provider relationship. In her free time, you can find her supporting her children on the sidelines and from the audience, hanging out with friends and family, listening and dancing to live music, enjoying beach vacations and simply just exploring what the world has to offer.

Get To Know Me

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
Patients should choose me to care for them as they will inevitably walk away from the appointment feeling heard and understood as well as feeling part of their medical care plan.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
They can expect me to listen to their concerns, communicate and educate them about their conditions/concerns and come to a treatment decision together as a team. I would expect my patients to listen to me and to play an active role in their care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I love supporting my children in their sports and activities, hanging out with friends and family, listening and dancing to live music, enjoying beach vacations and exploring the opportunities the world has to offer.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose to be a physician assistant because I do not have to have a specialty and can change specialties throughout my career, which is a wonderful part of the profession. The greatest reward is giving people answers, helping them feel better and engaging in a meaningful patient-provider relationship of trust and understanding.

Amanda was awesome, she really understood my concerns and was genuinely interested in finding a solution. She asked the necessary questions about my health history and read my file beforehand to know what’s going on. I really liked her.
