Amy Frank, CRNA

Amy Heisinger is a board-certified nurse anesthetist by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She completed her training at Quinnipiac University. Before pursuing a career in anesthesia, Amy worked as a critical care nurse in the Neurosurgical ICU in Long Island, NY. Her hobbies include traveling, exploring new places with her black labrador and spending time in the Adirondacks.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust that I will treat them with respect as if they were my family members.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Traveling and exploring with my black lab.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I wanted more from my career and wanted more autonomy. The greatest reward is caring for patients during a vulnerable time and having their trust in me to get them through their procedure safely and comfortably.
