Get To Know Me

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I see my role as a physician as a partnership with my patients. Involving patients in the decisions about their disease management is a key tenet of my practice.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Building a mutual relationship of trust with my patients is an important expectation for both physician and patient.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and walking outdoors on the back roads of beautiful Connecticut.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Pulmonary and critical care medicine allow me to see both the sickest patients in the intensive care unit and also to have long-term relationships with outpatients with lung diseases.

She didn’t rush the discussion about my health and recent scan, and was patient with my questions. She also followed up with me that same day on the patient portal with information I requested.

Dr. Ahasic is very professional, completely knowledgeable and caring. She saw me with little notice to take care of an issue that needed attention and my doctor was out of the office.

I just want to clarify that no x-rays were ordered for this visit, but we discussed it for my next appointment. Dr. Ahasic is absolutely wonderful. She’s caring and explains everything so it’s easy to understand. She makes sure we always have a game plan for my care. She’s a great doctor!
