Anmol Toor, MD, Resident Physician

Anmol Toor, MD, is a third-year resident physician caring for patients in the Rhinebeck and Kingston clinics, as well as hospitalized individuals at Northern Dutchess Hospital and Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Prior to relocating to the Hudson Valley for her residency, Dr. Toor earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of British Columbia, accumulating nearly 13 years of education and training. Though far from home, she is accompanied by her dog, whom she enjoys discussing alongside her passion for exercise. She is committed to helping her patients stay safe and healthy and looks forward to meeting them during their visit.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I practice evidence-based medicine and invest time into explaining my thought process and the science behind my recommendations.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
That I will always be honest and respectful to them, and I expect the same back.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
I usually take my dog on a walk or complete a puzzle. I also take dance classes from time to time. Most importantly I prioritize my sleep whenever possible.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose this specialty because I wanted to practice medicine covering all body systems for all ages. I did not want to limit myself to one focus. The most rewarding thing is seeing my patients’ reactions when we achieve a goal we set.
