AnnaMaria Arias-Denley, DO is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and the medical director of the Medical Weight Loss Program in New York. How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy watching my children grow, exploring the outdoors with my husband, visiting my family and relaxing evenings at home.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I am a Family Medicine physician because I chose to treat the whole patient and focus on preventative care. Treating obesity as a disease improves the health of an individual and lowers the risk of future disease. The greatest rewards are the relationships I create with my patients.
