Arjun Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta completed his cardiology fellowship and internal medicine residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York City where he served as Chief Fellow his final year. He worked on projects throughout training to improve patient care and physician education. He is trained in the use of echocardiography and nuclear cardiology in diagnosing and managing a variety of acute and chronic cardiac conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and more. He believes in helping patients understand their condition to empower them to take control of their health. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading and traveling.

I like helping people understand their choices about health so they can make the best decisions for themselves.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I strive to give every patient the time and attention they need to feel well taken care of and in return and expect mutual respect.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I love spending time with family and friends as well as traveling both near and far.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I love cardiology because with good care, people can live their lives to the fullest and it is fun to watch how people improve.
