Dr. Asif Khan, MD, is a general cardiologist, bringing over 15 years of experience in the medical field. He earned his medical degree from Bangladesh Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency at Staten Island University Hospital in New York, where he received multiple research awards. Dr. Khan has contributed extensively to clinical research, with numerous original articles, review papers, case reports, and abstracts to his name. He has also served as a peer reviewer for leading medical journals, further underscoring his academic engagement. In recognition of his mentorship and teaching abilities, Dr. Khan has received accolades for his work as an educator and guide to aspiring physicians.

Following his residency, he worked as a hospitalist while pursuing a master’s in health administration (MHA) from Columbia University, enhancing his expertise in healthcare systems, policy, and leadership. He later returned to Staten Island University Hospital to complete a highly competitive cardiovascular fellowship at one of the nation’s top cardiology training programs. Today Dr. Khan combines his clinical acumen, academic insight, and leadership training to deliver comprehensive, compassionate cardiovascular care. How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
Whether it's enjoying quiet moments with family, staying active through hiking, marathon running, or scenic motorcycle rides, traveling, or exploring new ideas in leadership and healthcare — I seek out experiences that keep me grounded, curious, and deeply appreciative of life.
