Carina Leggio, PA

Carina Leggio, PA-C grew up in Bethel, CT, and is a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She obtained her Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the Yale School of Medicine. She practiced at Hartford Hospital in the Cardiothoracic ICU and looks forward to continuing caring for Cardiac Surgery patients at Danbury Hospital.

Trust is the most important part of a patient/provider relationship. This is the foundation upon which we can make the best decisions to care for you.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Visiting with family and friends, playing tennis, reading, baking (or exploring bakeries), and listening to my favorite podcasts.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Cardiac Surgery has given me the chance to treat the whole patient, not just the heart. Seeing patients recover and improve upon other areas of their health is the greatest reward.
