Dr. Carol Gemayel-Barra is a cardiologist, board-certified in cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. With more than 18 years in practice, she specializes in the treatment of valvular heart disease, coronary artery disease, hypertension, lipid disorder, arrhythmias and congestive heart failure. Dr Gemayel-Barra is a patient advocate and believes that outstanding patient care includes both determining causes and factors for any illness and making sure the patient has a thorough understanding of their diagnosis.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and I'm an avid Peloton spinner.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I have always been fascinated with the cardiac physiology and the potential to make a profound clinical impact since the heart is a core organ for a healthy body.
