Cassandra L. Weigert, FNP

Cassandra Weigert (Hrelja) is a Family Nurse Practitioner who sees patients of all ages. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY. She completed numerous clinical hours in various fields of practice such as Family Medicine, Urgent Care, Pediatrics, and Women’s Health. Cassandra enjoys seeing all types of patients with her areas of interest being preventative and continued care. She enjoys the continuity of care that she can experience while being in Family Medicine

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I feel as though someone should choose me to care for their health because I am a good listener, a good advocate for my patients, and am willing to try and help in any way I can.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients can expect me to listen to their concerns and try my best to address them. Also, to be their advocate when needed. I would expect my patients to be honest with me regarding their health and concerns which will allow for the best possible care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I spend my time hanging out with my husband, my family and my Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, Ruby. I enjoy traveling, Disney and watching the Giants.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose Family Medicine because I enjoyed being able to care for patients from all different age groups. I enjoy the continuity of care and being able to care for my patients throughout their lives and see their health improve. The greatest reward is having a patient improve their health and be thankful for the care they receive.
