Catherine Elizabeth Hare, FNP

Catherine Hare is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Dedicated to patient care and building relationships, she takes a special interest in educating and supporting her patients as well as promoting a comfortable environment. She started her career in primary care managing acute and chronic conditions and is looking forward to transitioning back into the oncology specialty where her passion lies. In her spare time she enjoys being with family, spending time with her dog, spectating sports and coaching girls’ lacrosse. 

Why should someone choose you to care for their health? 
My goal is to approach each patient as an individual and provide them with all the support they need. Additionally, I will work diligently with the oncology team to provide them with the best care possible.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them? 
Patients should expect me to be honest and compassionate as they undergo treatments. I would encourage patients to be active in their care, ask questions and be proactive regarding their health. 

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients? 
Outside of work, you can find me spending time with family and friends, being outside with my dog and enjoying sports or coaching. 

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward? 
I began my career in oncology as a nurse in 2020 and developed a love for caring for this patient population and their families because each patient has a treatment plan. This gives me the ability to develop a special personal connection with each of my patients. I am elated to be back taking care of oncology patients and look forward to working with each individual
