Christine Kerr, MD

Christine Kerr, MD, AAHIVS, is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. Her medical training was completed at the University at Buffalo, Brown University and Harvard University. She brings clinical expertise in HIV, Hepatitis and complex chronic illness management. She has a broad background of experience including consultation and innovation in healthcare delivery, quality improvement and community health. She teaches internal medicine, narrative medicine and infectious diseases in multiple settings. She is active at the state and national level in advocacy for public policy and guidelines creation for improving HIV and Hepatitis Care. Dr. Kerr provides care in English and Spanish. She loves to travel and lives in the Hudson Valley with her partner and two daughters.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
My family and I love to travel, be outside and spend time with friends. I love to write and love to work with students on writing projects.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease offer long-term connections with patients. Every day gives me the chance to see people make life-changing improvements in their health.
