Dana W. Moore, PhD

Dr. Moore is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in evaluating adults with neurodegenerative conditions and brain injuries. During her pre-and post-doctoral training, she focused on memory disorders and traumatic brain injuries. Before starting her clinical career, she conducted research on the role of brain imaging in diagnosing normal pressure hydrocephalus and Alzheimer’s disease. She now works with adults with cognitive concerns and enjoys understanding the whole person and the many aspects related to neuropsychological functioning.

I am thorough and thoughtful in my approach, considering all the relevant characteristics of each person who comes to me for an evaluation.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
It is important that my patients are open and honest with me so that I can understand all of the aspects of cognitive, emotional and physical functioning that may relate to their neuropsychological health.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love to hike, cook and spend time with my family and our golden retriever.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Neuropsychology is a fascinating intersection of biological and social sciences. I always enjoy applying my knowledge in the context of the complexity and diversity of the individuals I see.
