Daniel Joshua Mardit, DO

Dr. Mardit is certified by both the osteopathic and allopathic boards of internal medicine, Dr. Daniel Mardit's medical credo is grounded in evidence-based medicine and guided by the principles of medical ethics. Drawing upon his experience as a teacher, Dr. Mardit strives to create an open and safe environment where patients feel listened to, are empowered to participate in their treatment and leave with a confident understanding of their care plan. Returning home to the Hudson Valley, Dr. Mardit is excited to build a community with his wife and young son. When not helping patients, Dr. Mardit enjoys spending time outdoors: gardening, hiking and exploring.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I actively listen to my patients and strive to create a safe environment where every patient feels comfortable talking about even the most sensitive of problems. I want to get to know my patients and partner with each of them to reach their goals.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Patients should expect an open-minded, non-judgemental physician who is genuinely invested in their good health. I expect my patients to be honest about the scope and nature of their problems as well as their ability and willingness to participate in the treatment plan

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring the Hudson Valley.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose internal medicine because I enjoy the breadth and depth of the subject. Its greatest reward is forming and nurturing long-term patient care relationships.
