About Danielle R. Isenburg

Professional Statement

Danielle Isenburg, DO is a family medicine physician, board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. As part of the Hospitalist Team, Dr. Isenburg enjoys caring for patients when they are admitted – and helping to coordinate care when they are ready to leave. She strongly values the patient-physician relationship and enjoys getting to know our patients while she cares for them. She is a family physician, which means she takes special note of the support systems in our patients' lives outside of the hospital and strives to enhance our patients' lives by providing comprehensive care. She finds it rewarding to work closely with the rest of the care team to meet all the healthcare needs of our patients. In her free time, she enjoys hiking throughout the Hudson Valley with her husband and two little boys!

Get To Know Me

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I believe it is a privilege to walk through a difficult season with someone, and I strive to provide empathetic and compassionate care for each person I care for at Northern Dutchess Hospital.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I believe that honesty, integrity and clear communication are crucial to the care I provide for each patient and their support systems.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I love to be outside with my family- hiking, skiing and running; I also enjoy traveling, cooking, reading and exploring new places!

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose to be a family physician because I love to care for patients of all ages and backgrounds and in multiple practice settings. Furthermore, becoming a family physician provided me with a training opportunity that incorporated understanding the social and structural influences on one's health, which is critical to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care.
