Danielle R. Mazzeo, PA-C

Danielle Mazzeo is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Danielle completed her Master of Science in PA Studies at Sacred Heart University in Stamford, CT, and is a member of the Pi Alpha National PA Honor Society. Danielle works in the surgery department and assists in multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, surgical oncology, obstetrics/gynecology and plastic surgery. As a provider, Danielle values compassion, empathy and seeing each patient as a whole person. In her free time, Danielle can be found exploring nature on a nearby hiking trail, spending time with friends and family, or practicing watercolor painting.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
As a provider, I value compassionate care and seeing the person behind the patient. Previous coworkers have noted my sensitivity to patients and their unique situations.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Patients should expect dedicated care from myself as well as the entire surgical team. I hope that patients share any questions and concerns they may have so that their concerns can be addressed to the fullest.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
In my free time, I can be found exploring nature on a nearby hiking trail, spending time with friends and family or practicing watercolor painting.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I enjoy working in surgery due to its nature of collaboration and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. I also enjoy the wide variety of diseases and conditions that we see and treat.
