About David A. Steckman, FHRS
Professional Statement
Dr. Steckman is a board-certified Cardiac Electrophysiologist and has expertise in arrhythmia management. He treats a variety of diagnoses including arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, PVCs, syncope, pacemakers and defibrillators. He trained at New York University as a chief resident. Dr. Steckman then did cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology training at the University of Colorado, Denver where he specialized in advanced ablation techniques and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. Currently, he is the Cardiac Electrophysiology lab director at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. He also is involved in research activity on the topics of atrial fibrillation and cardiac sarcoidosis. In his spare time, he can be found on the tennis courts or cooking with his kids.

Appointments with him were all on time. He’s easy to talk to and explains well. My experience at Vassar heart center was wonderful. Staff including anesthesiologists were friendly to me and my daughter.

Dr. Steckman and his team are top notch. I looked at a lot of doctors at major places and so glad I went with home for my ablation. He is a great communicator and I felt completely confident in his care. He is excellent.
