About David L. Copen
Professional Statement
David Copen, MD, is board-certified in cardiology. His areas of expertise include coronary artery disease, heart failure, angina, atrial fibrillation, cardiomyopathy, syncope, hyperlipidemia and the prevention of heart disease. Dr. Copen was chief of cardiology at Danbury Hospital for thirty years and started the cardiac catheterization service. He taught Cardiology at Yale for thirty years and currently teaches cardiology fellows at Danbury Hospital.

I offer excellent care based on the latest research.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
Outdoor work, visiting children and grandchildren, exercising and reading are my hobbies.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My favorite activity is teaching young physicians cardiology.
