David Louis, MD, FACC, FSCAI a board-certified interventional cardiologist, manages the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Louis believes in providing patient-centered care using up-to-date guideline-directed therapy. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Louis sub-specializes in performing minimally invasive procedures (heart catheterization and stenting) to treat heart attacks and open blocked arteries. Dr. Louis received his medical degree from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania and completed his residency and fellowship at Brown University/Lifespan in Providence, Rhode Island. His research has been published in top-tier medical journals. Dr. Louis is board-certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE), and nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC). He is a member of the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Humanism Honor Society.

I provide a patient-centered approach. I treat the full spectrum of cardiovascular disease and sub-specialize in coronary artery disease interventions.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
They should expect a caring doctor skilled at performing heart procedures. I expect to develop a trusting and long-lasting relationship with my patients.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, two sons and dog.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
My interests primarily lie in treating coronary heart disease. It is very rewarding to improve the lifespan and quality of life of my patients.
