Deeksha Bhattarai, MD, takes a holistic approach to medicine, focusing on treating you as an individual rather than just addressing symptoms. Dr. Bhattarai believes that the foundation of personalized care lies in open, patient-centered and informed conversations. She will work to educate you and encourage your active participation in your treatment decisions.

Outside of her clinical duties, she finds fulfillment in teaching and sharing knowledge with students, which enriches her work. In her free time, Dr. Bhattarai enjoys hiking, stargazing and spending quality time with my family and loved ones.

I enjoy hiking, exploring new places and spending time with friends and family.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I have always been naturally curious and a good listener. Internal Medicine allows me to meet a diverse range of individuals and my curiosity deepens. I engage with their stories and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify the root cause of their concerns and help them untangle the puzzle. This continual process of learning, teaching and being able to help others is profoundly rewarding.
