Delysa N. Owens, FNP

Family Nurse Practitioner, Delysa Owens, is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Association. Through bedside experience, NP Owens possesses the skills to manage adult patients with acute and/or chronic conditions. It is Ms. Owens' commitment to building long-lasting, meaningful relationships that make her care exceptional. She demonstrates a holistic approach focused on the encouragement of self-care and patient education. Each plan of care provided is patient-centered and individualized. In doing so, NP Owens is determined to improve patient outcomes and maintain/improve quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, doing arts and crafts and traveling.

I demonstrate a holistic, patient-centered approach focused on the well-being of the whole person. It is my duty to assist patients to their best ability and make decisions that are in their best interest.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I believe that building meaningful connections with my patients is important to physical and psychological rehabilitation. Patient/family participation is essential. As a provider, I strive to help patients/family members make informed decisions based on their personal preferences, desires and goals and assist them in achieving those goals.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music, arts and crafts and traveling.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Hospital medicine can be exciting and challenging. Its diverse scope of practice involves a vast patient demographic and treatment for a range of different medical conditions. Helping patients and their families through a difficult time is one of the greatest rewards.
