Why should someone choose you to care for their health?

I have good personal skills. I love people and I am very compassionate and have excellent education and training.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?

I try to go above and beyond in my role. As an RN, I received the Daisy Award, and now as an NP, I continue to provide the same level of care. 

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?

I take care of my two young daughters, two dogs and a cat. I like to garden, travel, cook and read about history.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?

I chose Medical Oncology because this field requires good critical thinking skills, it is fast-paced and requires problem-solving. In the era of the biotechnological revolution and innovations in genetics, it is just fascinating to be in the field that brings hope to people, brings a cure, and can help to prolong life. It is rewarding to bring hope and reassurance while also providing excellent care by incorporating the most recent pharmacological advancements that happen every day.
