Elizabeth H. Lucal, MD

Dr. Lucal is a general obstetrician gynecologist who is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lucal's particular interest is empowering women so that their voices and needs, as well as their health, are the focus of the care that is provided. Dr. Lucal works to complete this by being a strong advocate for women's rights with a firm belief that learning one's specialty is life-long, supporting medical education and by having the utmost respect and love for the field of women's health.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I take immense pleasure from the field of ob/gyn. It is never boring and helping my patients with their needs is a fascination and a joy that makes every day worth going to work for.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
I will listen. After listening, I will work with my patients to help get to the result that we designed.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
Reading, running and enjoying every day with my family — all this but in the reverse order!

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose ob/gyn because women are amazing patients to work with. Women are the core of the family, create miracles daily and have a depth of strength I don't see anywhere else.
