Elizabeth Levine, MD

Dr. Levine is an internist who practices hospital medicine at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, New York. She values and respects the doctor-patient relationship and prioritizes compassion when caring for her patients. She is also a registered yoga teacher who studies and practices mindfulness. Her interest is bringing these practices to the hospital sharing them with patients, colleagues and staff. In her free time, she enjoys being around the people she loves, running and hiking in the Catskill Mountains and practicing yoga.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I enjoy caring for my patients and getting to know what is important to them. I try to learn who the patient is as a person, not as their disease.

I am honest and will communicate the truth the best that I can.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love being outdoors climbing mountains in the Catskills with friends and my dog, Jai.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Internal medicine gives me many different opportunities. I chose hospital medicine because I am independent during my work days and when I'm off, I can have personal time.
