Professional Statement
Dr. Elsagga is board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as the North American Board of Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine. She is an active member of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and is the Physician Champion of breastfeeding. Dr. Elsagga believes that seeking a holistic approach to medicine can lead to better outcomes for her patients. She enjoys caring for women of all ages and is honored to care for the women in this community. Her areas of expertise include breastfeeding and lactation, menstrual abnormalities and patient-centered pregnancy care. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children in Hopewell Junction.

An osteopathic education has prepared me to look at all aspects of a woman's health, not just gynecology. If I cannot figure out what ails you, I will make every effort to find someone who can.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
This relationship is a partnership. I will never "tell" a patient what to do, but help to guide them in making decisions that fit their lifestyle.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I have small children, so much of my time is spent enjoying them. We spend a lot of time outdoors when possible. I also love teaching our residents and spend free time improving my teaching style.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Every decade of a woman's life has new challenges, particularly surrounding pregnancy and lactation. I love specializing in a field where I can make a difference and empower my amazing patients.

The only thing I have negative to say was it took a while for someone in the office to call with my results. I had to call twice and finally they called. As soon as they called the were very nice and quick to give me results. Just the waiting game when it's something very personal was ideal.

Dr. Elsagga was extremely kind and explained answers to all of my questions very thoroughly. Her resident was also incredible, very kind and thorough in her intake information and answering all of my questions expertly. They made a great team & helped me with anxiety about new medication!
