Erin Penn, MD

Dr. Erin Penn is a rheumatologist, board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. She is also trained in skin manifestations of rheumatic disease and has a particular interest in Dermatomyositis, Cutaneous Lupus and Scleroderma. Dr. Penn takes a holistic approach to patient care and emphasizes individualized medicine. She provides rheumatologic patient care in the outpatient setting but also offers virtual visits.

When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Penn enjoys teaching, exercising, attending concerts and raising her two children.

I have a unique, holistic approach to patient care. I make every attempt to recognize reversible causes of disease and provide each patient with individualized care.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I have always loved solving medical mysteries. Patients with rheumatic disease often have non-specific complaints and go undiagnosed for years. I find it rewarding when I can make a diagnosis for them and provide therapy that improves their quality of life.
