Patients should expect attentive personalize care with honest, open dialogue. I expect patients to be open and committed to participating in their care.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
When I am not caring for patients, I am going for runs, playing banjo or bass, or spending time with friends and family.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose to work in trauma surgery because it allows me to help change patients' lives in a very direct
and immediate manner. The greatest reward is the sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing my
actions will contribute to that person's recovery and quality of life.
