Gisele Papo, MD

Gisele Papo was born in Ann Arbor, MI and is a graduate of the University of Michigan. She obtained her medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Her Emergency Medicine residency was at Advocate Christ Medical Center near Chicago, Illinois, and she completed her training with a fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

My patients should expect respect and kindness. I would expect the same from them.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I like to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading and traveling. 

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Emergency medicine is a diverse specialty where one can care for anyone and help people on what is often the worst day of their lives.
