Gunjan Gupta, MD

Dr. Gupta is a pathologist and is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in AP/CP pathology and hematopathology. Her subspecialty interest lies in the field of hematopathology, in which she has fellowship training and years of experience in leukemia and lymphoma diagnosis. She has a PhD in molecular immunology and virology and is the director of the molecular diagnostics/cytogenetics/FISH and coagulation labs at Danbury Hospital. Dr. Gupta is dedicated to providing the most accurate laboratory results and diagnoses for patients’ biopsy and surgery specimens. She treats each biopsy/specimen as a representation of an individual patient. She lives in Weston with her husband, son and little Havanese dog. She loves to travel and likes to paint the beautiful scenery around Weston.

How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love to paint, read, travel and spend time with my family.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Being a pathologist is rewarding work as we provide the final answer to the most fundamental question: what is my diagnosis?
