About Hal S. Wasserman

Professional Statement

Dr. Wasserman is the Caminati and Eppler Family Endowed Chair in Interventional Cardiology at Danbury Hospital. He is an interventional cardiologist, board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has more than 30 years of experience caring for patients with acute and chronic heart conditions that need treatment with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, coronary artery stent placement or heart valve replacement and repair. He enjoys working with each patient to find the most appropriate treatment option for their specific symptoms and condition. He has special interest in less invasive catheter-based techniques for treating heart valve disease and emergency treatments for patients with heart attacks.

Get To Know Me

Why should someone choose you to take care of their health?
Together with the patient's primary cardiologist, we develop the most appropriate treatment plan, which may include only medications and not necessarily require surgical procedures.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you?
Patients deserve the best care and treatment possible, based on their specific symptoms and problems.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is your greatest reward?
I have always been interested in the science of cardiology and it allows me to care for acutely ill patients in the hospital and develop long-term relationships in the office.

Dr. Wasserman was kind and professional and made a great first impression. He took the time to sit and talk with me and my husband and provide us with the needed information to make an informed decision about my care.
