Helena Gerner, APRN

Helena Gerner, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a diverse medical background and a strong commitment to patient care. She completed her medical training at the esteemed I.M. Sechenov Medical Academy and later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Sacred Heart University. With a foundation rooted in both global and U.S. medical education, Helena brings a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to primary care. As a family nurse practitioner, Helena is known for her compassionate, holistic approach to healing.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
The most important aspect of my professional relationships is teamwork and mutual respect. I expect the same friendly and collaborative attitude from my patients and coworkers as well.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
When I’m not at work with patients, I love to be creative. I enjoy traveling, knitting, and spending quality time with my family and beloved dog. I’m also a voracious reader and welcome all book recommendations!

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I love working in Family Care because of the wide variety of patients I see. The greatest reward is seeing my patients feel better and their trust in me.
