Get To Know Me
I gather a thorough headache history and collaborate with my patients to provide the optimal care that you are comfortable with to minimize headache pain and disability.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust and honesty is important in a physician/patient relationship. I honor your trust in me with your headache care and I enjoy having long-lasting relationships with my patients.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love hiking the beautiful Hudson Valley, running, exercising, going to restaurants, traveling and exploring new cities and architecture by walking.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I had a great mentor who made me realize this is a rewarding field. The greatest reward is when I see a person's life change once migraines are no longer ruining their life.

I feel DR. Nierenburg was very thorough, and ruled out all possible causes regarding to my case. However, I feel the only reason I had to see DR. Nierenburg was because of the incompetence of your cardiologists who don’t fully understand the condition I have. It’s pretty sad when a neurologist knows more then anyone of the 4 cardiologist I have seen in your practice.

Dr. Nierenburg is a caring professional who listens, asks appropriate questions and discusses treatment clearly. Her knowledge and expertise in headache management is far above other neurologists in the area
