Professional Statement
Dr. Zhao is an anatomic and clinical pathologist and board certified by the American Board of Pathology. She completed her pathology residency at Hartford Hospital and oncologic surgical pathology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In addition to general surgical pathology, her areas of interest include cytopathology, breast pathology and genitourinary pathology. In her free time, Dr. Zhao enjoys hiking in the beautiful Hudson Valley.

I understand that behind every specimen, a patient is counting on us to make a correct diagnosis. We live and work in this community, and consider each of our patients as a family member.
What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust is the most important part of the physician/patient relationship. We make every effort to do what is the best for our patients.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy hiking with family and friends in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Pathology is intellectually stimulating. It is pathology that ultimately drives the management plans that our clinical colleagues develop to treat our patients.
