Dr. Kaplan is an Intensive Care Doctor, Pulmonologist and Internist, board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Patients should expect their physicians to provide honest healthcare advice that fits their lifestyle. Open-mindedness is important for both physicians and patients.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
I enjoy spending time with my wife, daughter and friends in my free time. I also love running, food, Syracuse Basketball and Miami Football.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Pulmonary/Critical Care medicine is a unique field for its day-to-day variability. As an ICU doctor, I can help patients and families through some of the most challenging times of their lives. As a Pulmonologist, I get the satisfaction of helping patients improve their breathing in the clinic. It’s a privilege to take care of patients.
