James M. McClane, MD

As a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon, Dr. James McClane provides personalized, dedicated care for a wide range of benign and malignant conditions of the small bowel, colon, rectum and anus. He has particular interest in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) surgery, which offers patients an opportunity to resume normal activity as early as possible. Dr. McClane's practice emphasizes team-based care. He moderates Norwalk Hospital's biweekly gastrointestinal cancer conference in which multiple specialists discuss and formulate an individualized treatment plan for our cancer patients. Dr. McClane is a past recipient of the prestigious Magida Award for notable and compassionate care and has been honored as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in the New York Metro Area from 2014 to 2021.

I enjoy spending time with my wife, two sons and golden retriever in Fairfield, coaching youth sports and reading.
