Dr. Nitzkorski runs one of the only centers for Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC) and Isolated Limb Infusion (ILI) in the region.
Dr. Nitzkorski was raised in the Hudson Valley and returned to the area after spending time in New York City and Philadelphia.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect to hear a clear and concise plan, and feel welcome to discuss options and ask questions.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I enjoy bicycling for exercise, spending time with family and friends and trying new and exciting food.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose surgical oncology because I can make an immediate impact, and also because I get to spend every minute of my professional life fighting cancer.

Dr Nitzkorski was so patient and explained everything to me without rushing. He was confident and knowledgeable about my condition and the upcoming treatment. We are lucky to have him as a provider at Nuvance.

This was my very first visit to see the doctor. He was amazing ! He is a very kind and special dr who took all the time i needed to answer my concerns and fears, and made me feel less anxious. I would highly recommend him . Dr and his staff are amazing and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

The Doctor was very knowledgeable and very calm. He provided wonderful explanation on upcoming surgery. He was not rushing me and I appreciate that he offered to answer all questions. I feel like he is super confident and that is a great thing to have when you have to schedule this type of Surgery. His team was wonderful.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Nitzkorski. He put me at ease for a procedure I was nervous about and explained everything he was doing throughout the entire appointment. He took his time answering my questions, was kind and thoughtful. I wish all of my doctors were more like him!
