Jason Robert Raggi, DO

Dr. Jason Raggi completed his emergency medicine residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in the South Bronx, New York City. He then completed a fellowship, followed by a year of administrative work focused on emergency department and hospital clinical operations, quality improvement, and disaster preparedness at the NYC Health + Hospitals central office. He later served as co-chair of the pediatric emergency department at Harlem Hospital and as assistant program director of the Met/Harlem Emergency Medicine Residency. In his free time, Dr. Raggi enjoys traveling, hiking, exploring local food scenes, riding his bike, playing New York Times games and puzzles, and taking road trips.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
It's an honor to help someone on what could possibly be one of their worst days and will care for them as if they were a loved one/family member.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Honesty and candor and I'd expect the same. I can't help you to the best of my ability without honest answers to questions about what is going on.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
Generally outside hiking, biking, running, exercising, playing sports, spending time with family/friends, looking for my next travel adventure whether it be a road trip or international travel.

 Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
The breadth of knowledge, the everyday challenge and the ability to help people, no matter how small is always a rewarding experience.
