Jenna Sanfilippo is a Physician Assistant certified by the NCCPA who practices in General Surgery. She puts her patients’ needs above her own and makes quality healthcare a priority. Jenna was originally born in New Hyde Park, NY where she grew up, but has since relocated to Highland, NY. In her spare time, Jenna spends time with family and friends and enjoys hiking, weight lifting and reading.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I have a passion for medicine and learning. I am warm and comforting to patients during a scary and unknown time in their lives.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
My patients should expect the utmost respect from me and should expect that I will always go above and beyond for them. I will do everything it takes to give patients the best experience possible.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
Hiking, weight lifting, hanging out with friends, spending time with family and my dog and exploring.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose my specialty during PA school after doing a rotation at Northern Dutchess in General Surgery. I fell in love with surgery. Its greatest reward is being able to provide immediate relief to patients and to follow up with them and watch them recover and improve.
