Jessica Mullen, APRN

Jessica Mullen, APRN is a board-certified Adult Gerontologic Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Although new to this role, I come with over 16 years of nursing experience. My background includes a variety of settings such as cardiology, critical care, interventional cardiology/neurology, structural heart, as well as peri-operative services.

Why should someone choose you to care for their health?
I am a compassionate provider who wants the best for my patients. I understand the frustration and confusion that medical issues can bring and strive to offer the most clear and concise care possible.

What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Time and patience are something my patients can expect from our professional relationship. My expectations of my patients are that they understand their treatment plan and remain an active and involved part of it.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you are not caring for patients?
My most valuable personal time is spent doing self-care. I like to stay active and spend time with family and friends, but I also love to relax at home with my dogs.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
Cardiology has been a very large part of my nursing career, so becoming a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner was a very natural progression for me. The greatest reward is seeing how quickly patients' conditions can turn around with the proper treatment.
