About Jonathan Salandra
Professional Statement
Jonathan Salandra, DO, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and hip preservation. He cares for patients of all ages and has a particular focus on treating sports-related injuries of the hip, shoulder, and knee. A native of Westchester County, Dr. Salandra attended Hackley School, where he played both basketball and baseball. He continued his athletic pursuits at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, competing in the same sports. His passion for athletics ultimately inspired his career in orthopedic sports medicine. Dr. Salandra earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and completed his residency at Rutgers-Jersey City Medical Center. He went on to pursue a sports medicine fellowship at Yale, specializing in arthroscopic procedures of the hip, knee, and shoulder. During his fellowship, he served as the team physician for Sheehan High School football in Wallingford, CT, and provided game coverage for various Yale athletic teams. Having grown up in Westchester, Dr. Salandra is dedicated to enhancing orthopedic care in the community and is passionate about giving back. His research focuses on outcomes of hip arthroscopy in patients with femoroacetabular impingement. Outside of work, Dr. Salandra enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid golfer.

Outside of work, I value time with my family and love being outdoors, particularly on the golf course.
