Jonathan Sevilla Cazes, MD

Dr. Jonathan Sevilla is an interventional cardiologist specializing in the treatment of coronary artery disease through percutaneous coronary interventions, while also providing comprehensive general cardiology care. Born in Mexico City, he moved to the United States for college. He completed medical school and internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by training in cardiology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and interventional cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Sevilla takes pride in providing a warm bedside manner and taking the time to actively listen, provide thorough explanations, and empower patients to achieve optimal heart health.

How do you spend your valuable personal time when you’re not caring for patients?
In my time, I most enjoy doing activities like hiking, cooking and exploring the surrounding area together with my wife, two daughters and our dog.

Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose interventional cardiology for its blend of intellectual challenges, hands-on procedures, and technological advancements. My greatest reward is successfully guiding patients through health challenges and recovery to help them resume fulfilling lives.
