What is the most important thing your patients should expect from their professional relationship with you? What do you expect from them?
Trust, honesty, easy access and close communication is what I value.
How do you spend your personal time when you're not caring for patients?
I love running and walking or hiking with my family and my dog.
Why did you choose your specialty and what is its greatest reward?
I chose critical care medicine because I want to help patients when they need help the most. I also love seeing my patients with sleep disorders enjoying great sleep and a better quality of life.

Out of maybe 100 doctors that I've seen in my 80 years of life Dr Mendez is better than any other doctor I've ever had contact with. He is truly wonderful kind, professional, knowledgeable, centered presence and giving.

Brought up points about my two blood thinners that I am taking for clots in my right. Been taking them since [Month, Year]. May go off of them in [Month} and put on aspirin. He suggested to look at at staying on one of the blood thinners. Also I should be tested for hereditary gene clotting factor . Suggested to talk to Hematologist to confirm . Good advice
